New Zealand release new standards for meth contaminated houses - 31st Jul 2017

On the 29th June NZ standards released the much anticipated NZ standards which replace the Ministry of Health Guidelines 2010 around the testing and decontamination of Methamphetamine contaminated properties.

It is great to see some commonsense around the levels now deemed safe in residential homes, in area's of high use (rooms in a home) the level has been raised from 0.5 micrograms per 100cm2 to 1.5 micrograms per 100cm2. In areas of low use such as roof cavities their is an elevated level of 3.8 micrograms per 100cm2.
